The 2017 law school rankings are out, and below we have the in depth take on the top law schools of 2017, including tuition, average UGPA, average LSAT score, bar pass rate, and employment rate, on a fully functional chart.

 

2017 Law School Rankings Compared to 2016 Law School Rankings

 

2017 law school rankings have shown many law schools remained with the same law school rankings, however, there were some notable changes amongst the law schools. Compared t0 2016 law school rankings, 2017 law school rankings show the top 7 law schools, including Yale, Harvard, Columbia, NYU, and Penn, all remained with the same law school ranking from the previous year.

The first notable change with the 2017 law school rankings is Duke University, which went from being ranked 8, to now ranked 11. Taking its place, is University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, which is now tied for an 8 ranking with University of California and University of Virginia.

The next change is Vanderbilt, moving up from a ranking of 17 to 16, and University of California- Los Angeles, moving from 16 to 17.

University of Southern California- Gould Campus has moved from a tie of 20 up to a law school ranking of 19, replacing Emory, which was ranked 19 in 2016. Emory now has a law school ranking of 22 for 2017.

Boston University and University of Iowa have also moved up in law school rankings, both being tied for a ranking of 20. University of Minnesota- Twin Cities Campus has also moved down in law school rankings, from 20 to 22, along with Emory and University of Notre Dame.
